Skills Development in Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV)

Imagine a world where communities become fortresses against violence. In Cameroon’s North West region, a shadow of gender-based violence falls across all walks of life. But there’s a flicker of hope.

In our drive to champion the rights and well-being of the vulnerable through strategic programs, advocacy, awareness-raising, partnerships, and community empowerment, REWAC organized a series of capacity-building sessions with Youth Leaders in the community. It aimed at providing them with the necessary knowledge and skills in GBV resulting in increased awareness and knowledge by frontline and community workers of gender-based and domestic violence thereby enhancing services at REWAC for survivors. This workshop culminated in the Youth Leaders establishing Action Plans that will guide their activities in curbing GBV.
